SUNY – University at Buffalo Solar Strand: designed by Walter Hood, this is the first ground based solar array in Western New York, generating approximately 1MW to be consumed at the adjacent chilled water plant.
Purdue University – Duke Energy Collaboration: construction of a Duke Energy-owned, natural gas fired heat recovery steam generator with approximately 20MW electrical capacity, on land owned by Purdue University. 100% of steam generated is consumed on campus, and power generated is fed back into the Duke distribution grid.
